Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

My rating: 4 of 5 stars This book is one of the best books of fiction I have read in a long time. The storytelling is amazing. Gabaldon completely constructs a whole new world and you fall into hook line and sinker. I didn't give it five starts because there is a lot of violence and a lot of sex. Often the scenes are tastefully done, pulling away before the you enter risky territory, often but not always. Some parts are very difficult to read for the dark, barbaric violence but it is indicative of the time period and society of the novel. I could read it again. View all my reviews >>
